Natural gas serves as a versatile energy source for heating, electricity generation, and as a feedstock for chemical production, derived from underground reservoirs of hydrocarbons primarily composed of methane (CH4), alongside ethane, propane, and other gases.
Natural gas is primarily delivered through pipelines from production facilities to distribution points and end-users. Compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) are also transported via specialized tanker trucks and ships for use in areas without pipeline infrastructure.
